Willy Wonka Party!

I was asked to create a Willy Wonka themed invite for a birthday party. This is most definitely one of the most fun projects I have ever had! The mom specifically wanted the golden ticket to be incorporated. I was working with the idea that the golden ticket design was included, the willy wonka font styling was used, and stayed really colorful. She really loved the design and I do too!

My new hobby!

I am officially an old lady who knits! I started to knit these cute little animal hats for babies and toddlers. Might sound cheesy but its nice to have something extra to keep my hands busy. :o)

The most gross (and fun) project ever!

CBC is doing a production of Macbeth, and I was asked to create a poster that included blood. I couldn't find any photos that really worked for the concept. I decided to look up fake blood recipes on the internet and mix my own! Which of course led to an extremely gross and fun photo shoot. I ended up free styling the title text "Macbeth" using the blood and a chocolate syrup bottle.

31 Movies in 31 Minutes Event Poster

CBC is sponsoring an event called "31 Movies in 31 Minutes." I have always wanted to do a typography poster (and who doesn't love movie quotes) so I took advantage of this opportunity! I laid out the poster using some of my favorite movie quotes. :o)

Pirate Kiss me Booty Onesie

I really wanted to do a more gender neutral onesie, so I decided to create a new design! Who doesn't love pirates...and words printed on their booties?

Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Columbia Basin College is sponsoring an event in recognition of Eating Disorder Awareness Week. I've been asked to do this poster probably around 5 times since I have been here at CBC, so doing something new presented something of a challenge! I really wanted to highlight the whole concept of how woman want to be like supermodels, and have people know what the poster was trying to get across at first glance. This is where the artist Amy Cassidy came in! She did this wonderful art piece which was perfect for the poster. Photography credit goes to Rob Glover. Japanese New Year's

The CBC Japanese Culture Club is celebrating their New Year's festival on January 28, so I was asked to put together some promotional materials. The specifically wanted sparklers and a goldfish (since that symbolizes luck in Japanese Culture). I thought it turned out pretty good!
